The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Atlanta Braves 3-1 on October 6 in Game 3 of the NLDS in Atlanta, taking a 2-1 series lead. Yoshinobu Yamamoto delivered seven scoreless innings with a postseason career-best 10 strikeouts, repeatedly shutting down Atlanta rallies before they could form.
All of the Dodgers' scoring came in the fourth inning, when Kiké Hernández hit a two-run homer and Freddie Freeman followed with a solo shot. Atlanta managed only a fifth-inning sacrifice fly in reply. Game 4 is set for October 7 in Atlanta, where a Dodgers win would send them to the NLCS and one step closer to a third straight World Series title.
