按气象局的最新评估，风暴潮峰值可能达到地面以上3至5英尺，高风险时段为周五上午至周六上午。
Storm Surge Warning Issued for New Orleans: 3 to 5 Feet of Inundation Possible
The National Weather Service office in New Orleans issued a Storm Surge Warning and a Tropical Storm Warning at 9:59 p.m. CDT on Wednesday, October 7, covering low-lying coastal communities in eastern New Orleans including Lake Catherine and Venetian Isles. A tropical system moving across the northern Gulf of Mexico is approaching the Louisiana coast.
Peak surge inundation could reach 3 to 5 feet above ground in surge-prone areas, with the window of concern running from Friday morning through Saturday morning. Sustained winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 45 mph are expected.
