据美通社（PR Newswire）报道，丹佛土地与能源数据公司LandGate 10月7日发布的报告称，北达科他州正成为人工智能数据中心的新兴热点。
据报道，报告指出该州吸引数据中心开发商的关键优势：充裕且低廉的电力、广袤的可用土地、有利于服务器散热的寒冷气候，以及亲商的监管环境。北达科他州现有能源结构——包括煤炭、天然气、风电，以及对先进核能日益增长的兴趣——为运营商提供了多样化的全天候电力保障选择。
当前全美各州激烈竞逐数据中心投资：项目承诺带来就业、税收与科技声望，也引发对电价、水资源消耗与电网负荷的担忧。在多个州，大型数据中心官宣后都接踵而至关于电网升级由谁买单的辩论。
近年来北达科他州官员积极招揽该行业，宣传该州的电力盈余与简化的许可流程。已有多个大型项目在州内提出，经济发展官员表示LandGate的报告印证了他们的推介。
LandGate分析师表示，下一波AI基础设施最看重的是电力可得性——这正是北达科他州的强项。
州商务部表示，将继续在全国性选址会议上推介北达科他州，争取把更多数据中心项目带到该州。
Report: North Dakota Emerging as AI Data Center Hotspot
BISMARCK, N.D. — North Dakota is emerging as a new hotspot for artificial intelligence data centers, according to a report released Oct. 7 by LandGate, the Denver-based land and energy data company, PR Newswire reported.
The report cites the state's abundant and affordable power, vast tracts of available land, cold climate favorable to cooling massive server farms, and a business-friendly regulatory environment as key draws for data center developers. North Dakota's existing energy mix — including coal, natural gas, wind and growing interest in advanced nuclear — gives operators diverse options for securing the around-the-clock power AI infrastructure demands.
The findings come as states across the country compete fiercely to attract data center investment, with projects promising jobs, tax revenue and technology prestige but also raising concerns about electricity rates, water use and grid strain. In several states, large data center announcements have been followed by debates over who pays for grid upgrades.
North Dakota officials have in recent years actively courted the industry, touting the state's energy surplus and streamlined permitting. Several large-scale projects have been proposed in the state, and economic development officials said the LandGate report validates their pitch.
LandGate analysts said the next wave of AI infrastructure will favor locations with power availability above all else — an advantage they say plays directly to North Dakota's strengths.
The state Commerce Department said it will continue pitching North Dakota at national site-selection conferences to bring more data center projects to the state.
