据报道，9月民主党新增登记选民多于共和党，扭转了多年来有利于共和党的登记趋势。肯塔基州曾长期是民主党登记占优的州——这是其保守派民主党传统的遗产；但随着该州右转，共和党在2018年实现反超，此后多数月份都不断扩大领先优势。

州务卿办公室将于10月中旬公布9月登记的最终认证数字。
Kentucky Democrats Out-Register Republicans for First Time in Eight Years
FRANKFORT, Ky. — For the first time in eight years, Kentucky Democrats out-registered Republicans in a month of voter registration, according to September figures highlighted by Kentucky Public Radio on Oct. 7.
Democrats added more new voters than Republicans in September, flipping a registration trend that had favored the GOP for years. Kentucky was long a Democratic-registration state — a legacy of its conservative Democratic tradition — but Republicans overtook Democrats in voter registration in 2018 amid the state's rightward shift, and the GOP has expanded its advantage in most months since.
The September milestone does not erase the Republican lead: the GOP still holds a substantial overall registration advantage statewide, built up over eight years of steady gains. Party officials on both sides cautioned that a single month does not make a trend.
Still, Democrats celebrated the figure as a sign of organizing momentum heading into the November midterms, pointing to voter registration drives on college campuses and in urban areas. Republicans countered that their structural advantage remains intact and predicted it would show in turnout.
Kentucky's registration battle is being watched as a barometer of broader political currents in the South, where Democrats have sought to rebuild in states that drifted Republican over the past decade. With competitive races on the ballot this fall, both parties said they would intensify registration efforts in October.
The Secretary of State's office will release certified final September registration figures in mid-October.
