波威市正式禁止大型第三方人工智能数据中心落户
波威市议会已正式采纳法令，禁止大型第三方人工智能数据中心落户本市。市议会此前一致通过该法令，理由是此类数据中心用水用电量巨大，可能挤压水电基础设施、推高公用事业费率，并带来空气质量、噪音与火灾风险。市府表示，此举是土地利用规划决策，旨在把有限的商业用地留给能带来持续就业与经济增长的企业。法令在采纳30天后生效。
Poway Formally Bans Large Third-Party AI Data Centers
The Poway City Council has formally adopted an ordinance banning large third-party artificial intelligence data centers from locating in the city. The council had earlier passed the ordinance unanimously, citing such facilities' significant water and electricity use and the resulting strain on infrastructure, potential effects on utility rates, and air quality, noise and fire risks. The city said the move is a land use decision, intended to preserve limited commercial land for businesses that bring sustained employment and economic growth. The ordinance takes effect 30 days after adoption.
