达纳角市议会于10月6日推迟了灯笼湾公园改造方案的表决，并将于10月20日再次审议该方案。这项由酒店方出资的改造方案包括植物园、剧场修缮、步道与饮水点，但方案需要移除部分成熟树木。居民在会上要求不要砍伐健康的大树，市议会将与酒店方商讨能够保留更多树木的替代方案。
Dana Point: Lantern Bay Park Improvements Vote Delayed Over Tree Concerns
The Dana Point City Council on October 6 postponed a vote on proposed improvements to Lantern Bay Park and will revisit the proposal on October 20. The hotel-funded plan includes a botanical garden, amphitheater repairs, walkways and water stations, but would remove some mature trees. Residents at the meeting asked that healthy trees be spared, and the council will work with the hotel on alternatives that preserve more of the trees.
