肯塔基州州长安迪·贝希尔（Andy Beshear）10 月 6 日在法兰克福宣布，将 10 月定为肯塔基州“制造业月”，表彰这个雇佣超过 25 万肯塔基人的产业。整个 10 月，全州将举办工厂开放日、招聘会与校园推广活动。

Kentucky Governor Proclaims October as Manufacturing Month
Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear proclaimed October as Manufacturing Month in the Commonwealth during an event in Frankfort on October 6, celebrating a sector that employs more than 250,000 Kentuckians. The proclamation kicks off a month of factory tours, job fairs, and school outreach events across the state.
Beshear highlighted recent manufacturing investments in Kentucky, including automotive, aerospace, and food processing projects, saying the state's central location and workforce training programs have made it a magnet for new plants. State officials said manufacturing wages in Kentucky run well above the statewide average.
The Kentucky Association of Manufacturers joined the governor at the announcement, noting that the industry faces a persistent skilled-labor shortage. The month's events are aimed in part at steering students toward manufacturing careers through apprenticeships and technical education.
Local economic development groups said the proclamation underscores manufacturing's role as the backbone of many Kentucky communities, particularly in rural areas where factories are often the largest employers.
