One year after President Trump's 20-point plan to end the Gaza war, progress has stalled, Reuters reported on Oct. 6. Israel mounts near-daily strikes and occupies around two-thirds of the enclave.
The plan's first phase produced a ceasefire on Oct. 10, 2025, freeing the last hostages and hundreds of Palestinian prisoners — but disarming Hamas, Israeli withdrawal and rebuilding Gaza remain far off. Gaza health authorities say at least 1,400 Palestinians have been killed since the ceasefire. Israel says it targets Hamas; Hamas denies the accusations.
