New Jersey Governor Accepts Mark Cuban's Offer to Tackle Health Care Cost Crisis
New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill said on October 5 she has accepted billionaire Mark Cuban's offer to help tackle the state's health care cost crisis. According to northjersey.com, Cuban had publicly offered to help New Jersey lower prescription drug and medical service prices, and Sherrill accepted. Cuban's low-cost pharmacy company is known for bypassing middlemen to sell prescription drugs affordably. Sherrill said New Jersey families face a growing medical cost burden and the state is willing to try every workable cost-cutting option, including exploring bulk drug purchasing and price transparency with Cuban's team. The two sides are expected to meet soon to discuss a cooperation framework.
