North Dakota's annual Municipal Judges Seminar was held in Bismarck on October 5, this year themed on artificial intelligence in the courtroom. According to EIN Presswire, municipal judges from across the state gathered in the capital to discuss AI-assisted sentencing, smart court records, legal document generation and related topics. Organizers said that as generative AI spreads rapidly, local courts must embrace efficiency gains while guarding against algorithmic bias and evidence reliability issues. Tech experts and legal scholars were invited to lecture, helping judges understand the limits of AI tools. Attending judges generally agreed AI can serve as a judicial aid, but final adjudication must remain with human judges.
