Mississippi Voter Registration Deadline Passes Oct. 5
Voter registration for Mississippi's November general election closed on October 5. According to the Mississippi Free Press, voters who did not register by the deadline cannot participate in this November's election. The Secretary of State's office reminded residents they could register through the online system or county circuit clerk offices and urged voters to verify their information early. This year's Mississippi ballot includes statewide offices and local measures. Under state law, voters must present photo identification at the polls. Absentee voting opens in counties starting in late October.
