Maine Football Fires Offensive Coordinator After 1-5 Start
The University of Maine Black Bears football team made a midseason coaching change. According to local station WFVX on October 5, the team fired offensive coordinator Mikahael Waters after a 1-5 start to the season. The Black Bears fell 24-16 to Sacred Heart over the weekend, with a struggling offense prompting the move. Competing in the CAA conference, Maine has scored under 20 points in multiple games this season, and management hopes a new offensive play-caller can turn things around. A replacement has not yet been named as the team prepares for its next game this week.
