Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed the 20th death warrant of the year on October 5, for condemned inmate Jesse Guardado, with execution set for November 5. According to Fox 13, the 20 warrants set a single-year record for Florida. Guardado was sentenced to death years ago for murder, and his appeals have been exhausted.
