Nasdaq Hits Record Close as All Four U.S. Indexes Rise
On October 5, all four major U.S. indexes closed higher: the Dow rose 0.18% to 51,267.90, the S&P 500 gained 0.66% to 7,773.95, and the Nasdaq jumped 1.05% to 27,477.31, a new closing record.
TSMC's ADR surged 2.75%, Nvidia rose 2.12% on a Morgan Stanley upgrade, Tesla gained 2.2% and Meta 1.9%. The Fed's September meeting minutes due later this week will be watched for rate-path signals.
