本轮增长发生在联邦政府取消夏季定时预约入园要求之后：游客无需提前抢预约名额即可入园。今年 8 月 7 日至 16 日进行的游客调查显示，96% 的受访者评价体验为「好」或「极好」，91% 的游客在入口等待不到 15 分钟——新的交通管理措施在客流上升的同时反而缩短了排队时间。
不过，历史学者提醒，优胜美地的拥挤问题由来已久：自 1855 年第一批游客到访起，人们就已在讨论旅游对这片山谷的影响。园方表示将继续以交通疏导与分流措施平衡参观需求与生态保护。
优胜美地是加州唯一进入全美访问量前十的国家公园，其客流回升也带动了周边 Mariposa、Oakhurst 等门户社区的住宿与餐饮生意。园方表示，取消预约制并未带来预想中的混乱，分时入园引导与公共接驳仍是管理大客流的主要工具。

Yosemite Visitation Up 9.5% to 2.59 Million After Timed-Entry System Ends
Yosemite National Park in California recorded about 2.59 million recreation visits in the first seven months of 2026, a 9.5% increase from the same period in 2025, according to National Park Service data. July alone brought 665,877 visits, up 8% year on year, making Yosemite one of the fastest-growing parks in the national system.
The increase came after the federal timed-entry reservation requirement was removed for the summer season, allowing visitors to enter without booking ahead. A visitor survey conducted Aug. 7-16 found 96% of respondents rated their experience good or excellent, and 91% waited less than 15 minutes at entrances — new traffic-management measures were associated with shorter waits despite stronger demand.
Historians note the crowding debate is as old as tourism at Yosemite itself, dating to the first tourist party in 1855. Park managers said traffic and dispersal measures would continue to balance visitor demand against protection of the valley's ecology.
Yosemite is the only California park in the national top ten by visitation, and its rebound has lifted lodging and dining business in gateway communities such as Mariposa and Oakhurst. Officials said ending the reservation system did not produce the feared chaos, with entry guidance and shuttle services remaining the main tools for managing heavy crowds.
