新西兰总督发出大选令 11月7日投票正式进入法定程序
2026年10月4日，新西兰总督按既定日程发出大选令（writ），正式指示选举委员会组织11月7日大选。国会已于10月1日解散，选举令的发出标志着竞选从政治日程进入法定程序：候选人提名、选民登记与投票安排都将以此为准推进。
本届大选采用混合成员比例代表制（MMP），选民一人两票，分别投选区候选人与政党。现执政的国家党联盟与在野的工党阵营民调接近，小党在组阁中的作用备受关注。选举委员会此前公布的广播拨款安排显示，竞选广播期为10月4日至11月6日，合资格政党可获得总额约414.6万新西兰元的广播广告拨款，由选举委员会直接向广播机构支付。

Writ Issued for New Zealand's 7 November General Election
The Governor-General issued the writ for New Zealand's general election on 4 October 2026, formally directing the Electoral Commission to conduct the poll on 7 November. Parliament had been dissolved on 1 October, and the writ moves the election from the political timetable into its statutory process, setting the framework for nominations, enrolment and voting arrangements.
The election will be held under the Mixed Member Proportional (MMP) system, with each voter casting an electorate vote and a party vote. Polling between the governing National-led bloc and the Labour-led opposition is close, and the role of minor parties in forming a government is under intense scrutiny. The Electoral Commission's broadcasting allocation for the campaign totals about NZ$4.15 million for eligible parties, paid directly to broadcasters for advertising during the 4 October to 6 November campaign period.
Overseas voting begins on 21 October and advance voting in New Zealand opens on 26 October. Polling places on election day will be open from 9am to 7pm, and official results are scheduled to be declared on 27 November. The Commission has reminded voters, especially those who have moved house or are voting for the first time, to check their enrolment details.
For Chinese voters in New Zealand, the election bears on immigration, education, law and order and the cost of living. Community groups and Chinese-language media typically publish voting guides in election years, and party outreach to Asian communities is expected to step up now that the writ has been issued.
