Riverside County | 15 Fire Stations Open to the Public for Fire Prevention Week
The Riverside County Fire Department will open 15 fire stations to the public on Saturday, Oct. 10, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., for Fire Prevention Week - including stations in Temecula, Menifee, Lake Elsinore, Perris, San Jacinto, Norco, Beaumont and Palm Desert. Visitors can tour the stations, see fire apparatus up close and ask firefighters questions.
This year's theme, "Plug in, power up, stay safe," focuses on charging phones, e-bikes and other electronics safely to reduce lithium-battery fire hazards. The department says the family-friendly open houses offer simple habits that make a big difference.
