Wall Street Downgrades Pile Up; FICO Target Slashed
Wall Street issued a wave of downgrades this week. Bank of America cut credit-scoring giant FICO to Neutral and slashed its price target from $1,400 to $700, while Huber Research moved to Underweight - after the Federal Housing Finance Agency changed mortgage-pricing grid rules, altering the role of credit scores in mortgage pricing and raising questions about a business model that touches every mortgage borrower's score costs.
Nike was also downgraded across brokerages, with Baird cutting it to Neutral on weak fiscal-2027 guidance and declining international sales. Tech and defense names including Mobileye, Akamai and AST SpaceMobile were downgraded as well.
Analysts say the cluster of downgrades reflects growing caution about earnings prospects at richly valued companies.
