阿联酋副首相医院探望flydubai机长 赞其勇气与对生命的珍视
10月3日，阿联酋副首相、迪拜王储Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum前往阿布扎比的医院，探望正在康复的flydubai机长Smit Machchhar。他在社交平台X发文，称赞这位机长体现了最高程度的勇气、责任感与对人们生命的珍视。
Hamdan在帖文中表示，机长赢得了他本人与国家领导层的充分肯定与赞扬，并称「我们自豪他是我们团队的一员、是我们国家故事的一部分」。Machchhar在9月30日FZ1073航班事件中阻止了副驾驶夺机的企图，飞机备降沙特后，他先在沙特塔布克的医院接受初步治疗，随后转至阿布扎比继续康复。
印度驻阿联酋大使Deepak Mittal此前表示，Machchhar身体状况良好、恢复顺利，他还探望了机长家属并转达印度政府的全力支持。机长的处置被两国官方共同称为挽救了机上全体人员的生命。
这场探望是FZ1073事件在调查线之外的人情线：阿联酋领导层以最高规格的公开致意，把一位外籍机长写进「国家的故事」。在阿联酋，外籍专业人员占人口多数，这样的表态对包括华人机组与工程师在内的外籍从业者，是一次明确的价值确认。

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, visited flydubai captain Smit Machchhar in hospital in Abu Dhabi on October 3. In a post on X, he praised the pilot's courage, responsibility and care for people's lives.
Hamdan said the captain had the full appreciation and praise of the country's leadership, adding that the UAE is proud for him to be part of its team and of the nation's story. Machchhar had prevented the co-pilot's attempt to seize the aircraft on flight FZ1073 on September 30; after the emergency landing in Saudi Arabia, he received initial treatment in Tabuk before being transferred to Abu Dhabi to continue his recovery.
India's Ambassador to the UAE, Deepak Mittal, said the captain was in good health and recovering well, and that he had met the pilot's family and conveyed the Indian government's full support. Officials of both countries credited the captain's actions with saving everyone on board.
For the UAE, where expatriate professionals form the majority of the population, the visit publicly wrote a foreign captain into the national story — a signal of value recognised by expatriate workers across sectors, including Chinese crew members and engineers in Gulf aviation.
