'Ramalama' Costume Walk Returns: New Videos Surge Oct. 3-4 as Count Reaches 430,700
According to SocialPilot's tracking of trending TikTok sounds, Irish singer Róisín Murphy's Ramalama (Bang Bang) has returned as the go-to soundtrack for Halloween costume reveals. Creators walk toward a low camera in everyday clothes, then, on the drum drop, the shot pulls back to reveal the full Halloween look, captioned with the question of whether they won the trend — a prompt that drives arguments in the comments. The track's video count reached about 430,700, with the biggest batch of new videos posted over the weekend of October 3–4.
New Engen's October trend roundup listed the format, dubbed the Ramalama Costume Walk, among the month's signature trends. The same sound powered costume reveals last Halloween, making this a classic seasonal comeback.
Costume shops, makeup brands and salons were the fastest commercial accounts to join, revealing finished looks on the drop and listing every product in the caption. For ordinary users the format is equally simple — one Halloween outfit and one well-timed cut — which helped it become October's first truly mass-participation costume challenge.
