西弗吉尼亚州长宣布竞标"美国太空学院"落户本州
据 EIN 新闻报道，西弗吉尼亚州州长帕特里克·莫里西宣布，该州将参与竞标"美国太空学院"（United States Space Academy）的落户资格。该学院是根据特朗普总统第14423号行政令规划筹建的联邦太空教育机构。
莫里西表示，西弗吉尼亚州拥有航空航天产业基础、广阔的可用土地与低廉的运营成本，是建设太空学院的理想选址。州政府已成立专项工作组，准备竞标方案，争取将这一联邦项目引入州内。
西弗吉尼亚州近年来大力推动经济转型，试图摆脱对煤炭产业的单一依赖，航空航天与高科技产业被视为新的增长点。若能拿下太空学院，将为该州带来可观的联邦投资与高技能就业岗位。
目前有多州表示有意参与竞标。联邦政府尚未公布学院选址的具体时间表与评选标准，各州的竞标大战预计将在未来几个月内展开。
West Virginia Governor Announces Bid to Host U.S. Space Academy
West Virginia Gov. Patrick Morrisey announced the state will bid to host the planned United States Space Academy, a federal space-education institution envisioned under President Trump's Executive Order 14423, EIN News reported.
Morrisey said West Virginia's aerospace industrial base, abundant available land, and low operating costs make it an ideal site. A dedicated task force is preparing the bid to bring the federal project to the state.
West Virginia has been pushing economic diversification away from coal, with aerospace and high-tech industries eyed as new growth engines. Landing the Space Academy would bring significant federal investment and high-skill jobs.
Several states have expressed interest. The federal government has not yet announced a timeline or selection criteria for the academy's location, and the interstate bidding contest is expected to unfold over the coming months.
