Yucca Valley: District 5 council race in focus as incumbent faces challenger
The focus of Yucca Valley's November 3 town council election is District 5, where incumbent Rick Denison is seeking re-election against challenger Dion Antic, who is running for public office for the first time.
In Districts 1 and 3, Jim Schooler and Merl Abel were the only qualified candidates and will take office by appointment. The voter registration deadline is October 19, the county was expected to begin mailing vote-by-mail ballots on October 5, and results are expected to be certified by December 3.
