Applied Digital 埃伦代尔数据中心一期投运75兆瓦 总规划250兆瓦
据ad-hoc-news 10月2日报道，Applied Digital 公司位于北达科他州埃伦代尔的 Polaris Forge 1 数据中心一期已正式投运，上线容量75兆瓦，总规划容量为250兆瓦。
该数据中心主要面向高性能计算与人工智能算力需求建设。公司表示，一期投运标志着项目进入实质运营阶段，后续机组将按计划分批上线，全部建成后将成为北达科他州规模最大的数据中心之一。
北达科他州凭借廉价电力与寒冷气候，近年来成为数据中心选址的热门地。埃伦代尔市政府表示，数据中心项目为当地带来了建设就业与长期税收，市政配套电力设施也已同步升级。
随着AI算力需求爆发式增长，全美各地的数据中心建设都在提速。Applied Digital 表示，Polaris Forge 1 已签约多家高性能计算客户，二期工程的前期工作已经展开。

Applied Digital's Polaris Forge 1 data center in Ellendale, North Dakota, is now live at 75 megawatts of a planned 250 MW, ad-hoc-news reported October 2.
Built for high-performance and AI computing demand, the first phase marks the project's entry into real operations, the company said; additional capacity will come online in stages, making it one of North Dakota's largest data centers at full build-out.
North Dakota's cheap power and cold climate have made it a data-center hotspot in recent years. Ellendale officials said the project brought construction jobs and long-term tax revenue, with local power infrastructure upgraded in step.
As AI computing demand explodes, data-center construction is accelerating nationwide. Applied Digital said Polaris Forge 1 has signed multiple high-performance computing customers, and early work on phase two is underway.
