熊谷电力公司向加州公共事业委员会申请上调收入约31.89%（约2441万美元），理由是野火安全升级，包括加固疏散沿线设施、建设可远程断电的通信网络、植被管理、更换老旧变电设备与埋设线路。
10月13日下午1时举行电话听证，10月27日下午2时与6时在大熊湖市政厅举行现场听证，仅收集公众证言、不作决定。
Big Bear Lake: Bear Valley Electric seeks roughly 32% rate hike; telephone hearing set for October 13
Bear Valley Electric Service has asked the California Public Utilities Commission to approve a revenue increase of about 31.89% (about $24.41 million), citing wildfire-safety upgrades including hardening facilities along evacuation routes, building a communications network that allows remote de-energization, vegetation management, replacing aging substation equipment and burying lines.
A telephone public hearing is set for October 13 at 1 p.m., with in-person hearings at Big Bear Lake City Hall on October 27 at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. The hearings collect public testimony only; no decision will be made.
