UA Board of Trustees Holds Special Meeting; No Action on Yurachek
[FAYETTEVILLE] The University of Arkansas Board of Trustees held a special meeting October 1 but took no action regarding athletic director Hunter Yurachek, Sports Illustrated reported. The board discussed personnel matters behind closed doors and issued no resolution afterward.
Yurachek's tenure and the football program's performance have drawn intense scrutiny from fans and donors, and speculation had swirled that the board might make a personnel move. The board chair said only that discussions continue.
The Razorbacks' up-and-down season has also put the head coach's job in the spotlight. The board's next regular meeting is expected to revisit athletics-department matters.
