华盛顿特区基建学院新校区启用 培养本地基建人才
10月1日，华盛顿特区市长鲍泽为新启用的特区基建学院（DCIA）剪彩。新校区位于第五区Benning路东北2500号的历史名校斯平加恩高中校园内，是约7300万美元校园改造工程的收官阶段。
学院室内面积约5万平方英尺，另有1.2万平方英尺户外实训场，设有汽车实验室和Pepco电力实训场。自2018年以来，DCIA已与Pepco、特区水务、华盛顿燃气和地铁公司WMATA等伙伴合作，培训超过6500名居民；位于第八区的原校区将继续提供信息技术与网络安全培训。
Mayor Opens New DC Infrastructure Academy at Historic Spingarn Campus
On October 1, Mayor Bowser opened the new home of the DC Infrastructure Academy at the historic Spingarn High School campus, 2500 Benning Road NE in Ward 5, the final stage of a renovation project worth about $73 million.
The site offers some 50,000 square feet of indoor space plus a 12,000-square-foot outdoor training yard, an automotive lab and a Pepco training area. Since 2018 the academy has trained more than 6,500 residents with partners including Pepco, DC Water, Washington Gas and WMATA; its Ward 8 site will continue IT and cybersecurity training.
