旧金山联手26州郡市起诉联邦政府 挑战燃油经济标准回退
旧金山市检察官办公室10月2日宣布，旧金山加入由26个州、郡、市组成的联盟，向联邦法院起诉国家公路交通安全管理局（NHTSA），挑战其9月28日公布、削弱新乘用车与轻型卡车燃油经济标准的最终规则。
联盟认为，新规则违反《行政程序法》以及国会要求按「最高可行」水平制定燃油标准的授权，也忽视了道路上已有数百万辆电动车的测算基线，将使消费者多付油钱、加重尾气污染。各方请求法院撤销新规、恢复此前的燃油经济标准。
San Francisco Joins 26-State Coalition Suing Over Federal Fuel-Economy Rollback
San Francisco's City Attorney announced on October 2 that the city has joined a coalition of 26 states, counties and cities suing the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration over its final rule, published September 28, that significantly weakens corporate average fuel economy standards for new passenger cars and light trucks.
The coalition argues the rule is unlawful: it departs from Congress's mandate to set standards at the maximum feasible level and ignores the millions of electric vehicles already on the road in its analysis, which plaintiffs say will raise fuel costs for drivers and worsen air pollution. The suit asks the court to rescind the rule and reinstate the prior standards.
