西雅图市议会审议市长预算案 备忘录称结构性赤字仍未消除
据《西雅图时报》报道，西雅图市议会10月13日至16日召开预算会议，审议市长威尔逊提出的预算案。议会预算备忘录指出，该方案缩小但未消除市政府的结构性赤字，预计市财政赤字将持续至2029年。今年11月选票上还有一项提案：将0.15%的交通销售税翻倍至0.3%，征收期延至2037年。市议会此前已批准2027至2028年电价上调9.5%。
Seattle Council Reviews Mayor's Budget; Memos Say Structural Deficit Persists
The Seattle Times reported that the City Council is holding budget meetings from October 13 to 16 to review Mayor Wilson's proposed budget. Council budget memos say the proposal reduces but does not eliminate the city's structural deficit, with the city projected to remain in the red through 2029. A November ballot measure would double the 0.15 percent transit sales tax to 0.3 percent through 2037. The council has already approved 9.5 percent electricity rate increases for 2027 and 2028.
