The USS Abraham Lincoln is expected to arrive in the San Diego area around noon on Thursday, October 8, pulling into Naval Air Station North Island after a near-record deployment to the Middle East, according to multiple reports on October 5. The U.S. Navy had not officially confirmed the date, but an official announcement was expected Monday or Tuesday. The Nimitz-class carrier is the flagship of San Diego-based Carrier Strike Group 3, which supported military operations during the U.S. and Israeli war against Iran.
