Rancho Palos Verdes: City Council Declares Local Emergency Ahead of El Niño
The Rancho Palos Verdes City Council proclaimed a local emergency ahead of expected El Niño conditions, according to highlights from its Oct. 6 meeting released by the city.
The council also approved code amendments intended to encourage wireless facilities on private property and voted to initiate Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) code amendments for compliance with state law. Members also heard a California Water Service (Cal Water) report on the residential meter size-change process: downsizing involves approvals involving contractors, the Los Angeles County Fire Department, and Cal Water, and affects the fixed service charge.
