匹兹堡连续第三年获评世界节庆与活动之城
10月6日，匹兹堡市政府与当地旅游机构宣布，该市连续第三年获得国际节庆与活动协会颁发的世界节庆与活动之城称号。评审团从活动支持力度、经济带动效果与居民生活质量贡献等方面综合打分，匹兹堡的申请材料重点呈现了国际爵士音乐节、三河艺术节与匹兹堡马拉松等招牌活动。市政府表示，这一荣誉肯定了全市从社区街区派对到大型赛事的活动生态，也将为当地旅游推广与未来申办大型活动增添筹码。
Pittsburgh Named World Festival and Event City for Third Straight Year
On October 6, the City of Pittsburgh and its regional tourism agency announced that Pittsburgh has been named a World Festival and Event City by the International Festivals and Events Association for the third consecutive year. An international panel judged applicants on their support for events, economic impact and contributions to quality of life. Pittsburgh's bid highlighted signature gatherings including its international jazz festival, the Three Rivers Arts Festival and the Pittsburgh Marathon. City leaders said the designation recognizes an events ecosystem that ranges from neighborhood block parties to major sports weekends, and strengthens the region's pitch for future large-scale events.
