Pasadena Breaks Ground on Glenarm Battery Storage System: 25 MW with $9.66 Million in State Support
Construction has officially kicked off on Pasadena's Glenarm Battery Energy Storage System, with state and local officials joining Pasadena Water and Power for the launch.
The 25-megawatt project is backed by $9.66 million in state support. Once online, the battery system will store power and discharge it during peak demand, easing strain on the grid and adding resilience during extreme weather — meaning fewer outage risks and steadier power for Pasadena households.
