Menifee's Bradley Road 'Freedom Bridge' Opens Over Salt Creek, Ending Wet-Weather Ford Crossings
Menifee's Bradley Road, the link between central Menifee and Sun City, has reopened with the completion of the new bridge over Salt Creek, named the Freedom Bridge. Where motorists once had to drive through moving water at each rainstorm or detour around the wash, the 365-foot bridge — a $16 million-plus project funded by federal, state, county and local sources — now carries two lanes with dedicated bicycle lanes and sidewalks. The city says the bridge keeps the north-south route open during rain events and enables faster response times for police and fire agencies heading into the winter storm season.
