丹佛加入诉讼 挑战电厂污染限值回退
丹佛市10月1日表示，已与科罗拉多州及另外二十多个州、县、市组成联盟提起诉讼，挑战联邦层面取消大型电厂温室气体污染限值的做法，并已向联邦上诉法院申请审查。
市里认为，燃煤和燃气电厂是重要的碳排放来源，放宽限值会加重高温、风暴、洪水和野火烟尘等影响。联盟同时表示，将就现有天然气电厂污染监管不足的问题另行采取法律行动。
Denver Joins Lawsuit Challenging Rollback of Power Plant Pollution Limits
Denver said on Oct. 1 that it has joined Colorado and a coalition of more than two dozen other states, counties and cities in court, challenging the federal repeal of greenhouse-gas limits for many large power plants and asking an appeals court to review it.
The city argues that coal- and gas-fired plants are major carbon sources and that weaker limits will worsen heat, storms, flooding and wildfire smoke. The coalition also plans legal action over pollution from existing gas plants.
