达拉斯警方凭DNA侦破数十年冷案 一男子被控资本谋杀
达拉斯警方宣布，一宗尘封数十年的命案近日告破。1993年，55岁的托米·戴维斯在哈斯克尔大道一带遇害，案件长期未破。冷案侦探重查旧证物，将案发现场墙壁上血迹的DNA录入全国数据库进行比对。
比对命中现年56岁的加里·伦·罗斯（Gary Len Ross），他曾使用“汤米·林恩·琼斯”这一化名。罗斯于10月2日被捕，现关押在卢·斯特雷特司法中心，被控资本谋杀。警方表示，此案仍在进一步调查中。
Dallas Police Solve Decades-Old Murder Case Through DNA Match
Dallas police say a murder case that went unsolved for decades has been cracked with the help of DNA evidence. Tommie Davis, 55, was killed in 1993 near Haskell Avenue, and the case eventually went cold until a detective reopened the file and submitted blood evidence from the scene to a national DNA database.
The search matched 56-year-old Gary Len Ross, who had also used the name Tommy Lynn Jones. Officers arrested Ross on October 2, and he is being held at the Lew Sterrett Justice Center on a capital murder charge. Police say the investigation remains ongoing.
