哥伦布11月选票含两项议会改革宪章修正案 第9号拟把议会扩至13人
据《哥伦布电讯报》10月13日报道，哥伦布市选民将在11月3日大选中就两项相互关联的市宪章修正案投票。第8号提案由公民联署提出，主张九个选区议席只能由本选区居民投票选出，取代现行的全市共同投票。第9号提案由市议会提出，内容除选区内投票外，还包括新增大选区议席：2027年选出2名、2029年再增2名，议会规模由9人逐步扩至13人，大选区议员任期四年、交错改选。配套安排包括2027年重划选区地图、选区人口偏差上限由1%放宽至7.5%，以及候选人须在初选前于选区内居住满一年。
Columbus Ballot Includes Two Council-Reform Charter Amendments; Issue 9 Would Grow Council to 13
The Columbus Dispatch reported on October 13 that Columbus voters will decide two related city charter amendments at the November 3 election. Issue 8, submitted by citizen petition, would limit voting for the nine district council seats to residents of those districts, replacing the current citywide vote. Issue 9, placed on the ballot by the City Council, pairs district-only voting with new at-large seats: two to be elected in 2027 and two more in 2029, transitioning the council from nine to 13 members, with at-large members serving four-year staggered terms. The package also provides for a 2027 redraw of the district map, raises the maximum population variance between districts from 1 percent to 7.5 percent, and requires district candidates to have lived in their district for at least one year before the primary.
