库克县与华人社区在戴利广场庆祝美中友谊日
9月30日下午，库克县财务官与大芝加哥地区华人社区成员在市中心戴利广场举行美中友谊日活动，包括升旗仪式。活动由大芝加哥华侨华人联合会等团体参与组织，随后在北克拉克街118号财务官办公室举行招待会，并向多位社区领袖颁发卓越证书。
主办方表示，今年适逢美国建国250周年，活动以加强友谊、促进交流、推动社区融合与共同面向未来为主题。据介绍，库克县华人 diaspora 人口超过13.5万，唐人街商会等华人团体代表出席，体现华人社区在本地公共生活中的持续参与。
Cook County Marks U.S.-China Friendship Day with Chinese American Community at Daley Plaza
Cook County officials joined members of the Chicago-area Chinese American community on September 30 for a U.S.-China Friendship Day celebration at Daley Plaza in downtown Chicago, featuring a flag-raising ceremony. A public reception followed across the street at 118 N. Clark Street, where local community leaders received Certificates of Excellence. Organized with the Greater Chicago Chinese Association of Overseas Chinese and Chinese Americans, the event came on the eve of China's National Day. Organizers said this year's gathering carried added significance as the United States marks its 250th anniversary, focusing on friendship, exchange, community integration, and a shared future. The Cook County Treasurer's office noted the Chinese diaspora in Cook County numbers more than 135,000 people, with Chinatown and civic groups represented among the honorees.
