南夏洛特16号消防站迎来60周年
位于Park South Drive的夏洛特16号消防站于10月1日迎来成立60周年。该站1966年开站时，南夏洛特还在扩张；如今其辖区已覆盖SouthPark周边多个成熟社区，约有3.7万居民。
为纪念周年，一辆曾在该站服役过的1971年Seagrave消防车修复后回到站前与现役队员合影。市消防局表示，60年来车辆和城市面貌都变了，但这座社区消防站与街坊之间的日常联系一直保留了下来。
Firehouse 16 Marks 60 Years of Service in South Charlotte
Firehouse 16 on Park South Drive marked 60 years of service on October 1. Opened in 1966 as Charlotte pushed south, the station now covers a built-up area around SouthPark that is home to roughly 37,000 people, along with schools, hotels, churches and businesses.
A restored 1971 Seagrave engine that served at the station decades ago returned for the anniversary. Charlotte Fire says the trucks and the neighborhood have changed over six decades, but the station's close, everyday ties with nearby residents remain a defining part of its story.
