波士顿市地铁绿线的百年信号系统现代化正在提速。MBTA 10月5日通报，经过连续9天隧道全天候施工，全线72英里新信号缆已铺设40英里，129个新信号接线箱（替换1940年代旧件）安装超过85%；Copley、Park Street、Government Center 三大枢纽站改造进度分别达100%、98%与95%。新系统将升级轨道电路，并为明年投入的新车做准备，提升班次密度与准点率。（GSM 据 MBTA 官方通报摘编）

Boston's century-old Green Line signal system is getting a modern overhaul. The MBTA said Oct. 5 that after nine straight days of around-the-clock tunnel work, crews have installed 40 of 72 planned miles of new signal cable and more than 85% of 129 new signal bungalows replacing 1940s equipment; the Copley, Park Street and Government Center hub stations stand at 100%, 98% and 95% complete.
