Austin City Clerk Certifies 'Outside Audit' Charter Amendment Petition for November Ballot
Texas media reported that Austin City Clerk Erika Brady has certified the 'Outside Audit' charter-amendment petition submitted by Save Austin Now: 21,131 signatures were filed, of which 20,051 were valid, a 94.89 percent validity rate that clears the 20,000-signature threshold. The measure will appear on the November 2026 ballot. If approved, it would require an outside performance audit of the entire city budget every five years.
